Chair Lift

Chair Lift

The family found this little cottage at the end of the lock down when I believe there were less properties around so this is where I have ended up. Do you know the feeling and I’m sure you do when you really didn’t want to be where you were. I remember my mum moving to a maisonette in Swaythling which was really nice and her words to me were “I’m not staying here long”. Needless to say she never moved from there., so here I am and I cannot see anything changing soon.

I digress there was no sign of a bannister and it was obvious that I needed help so we contacted the most well known at the time Acorn. We couldn’t believe the cost involved which were huge but as there was no choice we signed up. Installation was okay and for a while all good but things quickly changed. I am the kiss of death for chair lifts they are always breaking down. I am too frightened to add up the costs of call outs replacement bits it goes on and on. I have found a great company who i use for any problems that occur. They have almost become friends and one of the employees always brings me free range eggs from his animal sanctuary. They have been great always come out. Having said that I shouldn’t be saying anything but for the last few months all has been good regarding the chair lift.

Be careful of what you choose, There is a new chair I believe manufactured in Holland but cannot really remember the exact place. Looks great and not so invasive.

Look after that lift. I always say a quick thank you when I reach the bottom or indeed the top. I wish they went a bit faster. Lots of missed parcel deliveries and people who are totally unaware of how long and slow these chairs are.
