My birthday was in fact yesterday and what a lovely day I had. Lots of cards, flowers and doggy portraits of my dog Jet, and a hand drawn portrait from a friend and most interesting was an apple crumble complete with custard. Everyone had thought lots about my loves and desires hence the dog paraphernalia and food. Even the cards were amazing. Photo of labrador with a look of shock on its face saying “how old”. So lovely.
I had made arrangements to visit my daughter at her place of work in Coldridge which is near Crediton. Along with my cards and of course the apple crumble. She runs Bramble Badger and Lighter Learning Home Education. You know the one thing that I noticed above all else was the sense of peace and the quiet which was wonderful. We are all surrounded by continual noise and distractions it was lovely to immerse yourself in utter peace. Spent several hours there and returned home knackered. Why is it that as you age and do something different your body needs a day to recover.
