A busy day and I was looking forward to my book, bed, and of course my dog Jet. Family all together
Dozed off and then something woke me up. Its rather scary when you hear strange sounds. Is someone trying to break in and what do I do. Then I remembered I had a night light which produced a number of colours and levels of brightness so out I got slowly as my hurrying about has certainly passed me by. Thats better I thought if anyone is outside they would see a light on and perhaps go away. Settled down again and it started up again. Decided to read awhile which I did and eventually I must have fallen asleep.
When I woke I had a brainwave. How about sending a text to my neighbour to see if he had heard anything. Back came the answer-yes. Between us we agreed that it was likely to be either rats, mice, bats or birds. Certainly have no objection to the bats or birds, but rats and mice not so much. He was going to put some bait down in the first instance.
Last night it was quiet so that was a positive sign. He is going to continue with the bait and hopefully we can get on top of it.
When you reach a certain age all you need is for someone to just take over for you. Sort it out make a cup of tea something that you actually have not had to make. Bliss.
