I live in an old cottage with more problems than a new build, but reading about the problems people experience after buying new properties I’m not so sure. However following all the wet and windy weather a roof tile slipped down to the gutter. Fortunately it was noticed and was carefully brought down whole so i wrongly imagined that it would be an easy fix.
How wrong was I. I have spent hours and hours trying to sort this issue out without any success. I had zero response to begin with and then after a second post on my local Facebook page i had several replies, but only one person bothered to come and take a look. The cost was nearly £300 and I think that’s extortionate. When did things get so out of hand. I appreciate you think that I’m a sad old person not understanding what is going on and I own that, but this is daylight robbery in my eyes. Now waiting for the rain to make its way through the ceiling. Christmas joy or not. I’m going to write to Santa perhaps when he’s on the way he can slip the tile back on.
