Christmas

Christmas

We can no longer forget that Christmas is just around the corner. How do you feel about that? Excited or filled with worry. I had a lovely message from my granddaughter who requested that I don’t buy the family any presents this year as she understood how difficult things could be for those who no longer have the income that once was accepted as their right. Surviving on a pension is not an easy option but I have to be honest I don’t have to choose between food and heat although I am always careful with what I do. Part of me was surprised that they felt this way and then I felt guilty which was not what their message was all about. We decided that I would send money to the great grandchildren who were going to be taken to Stourhead to see the Christmas lights with my blessing. What a great idea.

Christmas day for me will be spent with my daughter and husband in a lovely village in Devon which has a lovely pub and its only a few minutes walk away. Boxing day we are off to Dorset where all the family are gathering so that will be a great day and I shall be so tired when I get home.

I return home on December 27th and the dog will be returned following his Christmas break. I love him lots but its nice to have a few days away.

I have a lovely dog walker called Jan who walks Jet every day for me and looks after him if I go away for a day or two. What is your experience of a dog walker. I could write a blog about them. Some good some not so much. Next blog I reckon.
